About me

Paulo Chiliguano

I received a BSc degree with a major in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications at Escuela Politécnica del Ejército (now Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas – ESPE). I received a MSc degree in Sound and Music Computing at Queen Mary University of London in 2015. My dissertation titled “Hybrid music recommender using content-based and social information” describes a novel approach in music recommender systems using deep learning and estimation of distribution algorithms.

I was a technical intern at Chirp, a London based startup, where I developed a graphical user interface for audio data visualisation. Additionally, I collaborated with Radio COCOA as a volunteer producer and host of Music From The Masses podcast series.

At the present time, I am lecturer in electronics and multimedia at a higher education centre in Ecuador. My current interests include music technology and machine learning.
